This page explains what SVN Diamonds collects when you use the enquiry form or the trade-account application on this website, why, who sees it, and how to have it corrected or deleted. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Who we are
SVN Diamonds (ABN 52 666 403 658) is a trade-only supplier of lab-grown diamond and gold jewellery, based in Melbourne, Victoria. You can reach us at studio@svndiamonds.com or on 0452 284 121.
What we collect
Enquiry form: your name, company, email address, phone number (optional), what you would like us to send, and your message.
Trade-account application: your business name and any trading name, ABN, your name and role, email address and phone number, the suburb, state and postcode of your shop or business, the type of business, your website or Instagram (optional), what you stock now, an approximate monthly buying band (optional), and whether you want the catalogue and a sample-tray visit.
Technical details: the IP address a form was sent from is included in the notification email we receive, and a short-lived record of it is used to limit repeated submissions. We do not run advertising or analytics scripts on this website.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry; to check your ABN and assess your application; to send you the catalogue and trade terms you asked for; to arrange a visit if you asked for one; and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone for their own marketing.
Who sees it
Your submission is emailed to SVN Diamonds and read by the people who run the business. We use an email and website hosting provider to run this site, and your details pass through its systems. Its servers may be outside Australia. We look up your ABN on the public ABN register as part of assessing an application.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not set cookies. It stores one setting in your browser, whether you have paused the homepage video, so the page remembers your choice. It contains no personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and applications for up to two years after our last contact with you, longer if we start trading together and need the records for that relationship. After that we delete them.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, by emailing studio@svndiamonds.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us at the address above and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its date.
